Someday, when I'm rich, I'm going to spend at least six months reading full time, just for the sheer pleasure of it. I'll compare notes with sages through the ages, luxuriate in books about aesthetics and creativity, and explore all those wonderful worlds of fantasy produced by the greatest imaginations of all time.
The Internet is pure heaven for readers (and writers, of course) and I must confess I've made a pig of myself by downloading a few gigabytes of reading material in preparation for that time of leisure that I'm dreaming of.
Most of my bookmarks from the early days of web research were gobbled up by disks crashing, and the surviving few are lost in the evidence of information overload that rules my PC. Thus I'll be adding bookworm-links to this page randomly (roughly in the order in which they lead me into temptation, to be properly categorized and described later).
Maybe you can start enjoying them
while I'm still immersed in research...
`_~Note: No guarantees of their quality, since some were merely bookmarked or downloaded out of curiosity, and I haven't had time to read them all, but the parts that I did scan through seemed interesting enough to get them listed here. Just for the record, in case you encounter such notions in these books, here's a short list of principles and practices I don't agree with and definitely do NOT recommend:
- hypnosis (very dangerous)
- putting the subconscious in charge (rather work towards becoming superconscious!)
- manipulation of the mind by subliminal means (I'll have to write a book about these 3 points...)
- killer marketing techniques, spam, etc (rude & inconsiderate; will explode in marketer's face)
- fanaticism (narrows the mind, clouds vision)
- drugs (even "medical" ones - wherever possible, please substitute with natural healing
, and remember that health, like all other conditions, starts in the mind. You'll see my book about it at the FreeESpirits Bookstore as soon as I can make time to finish it)
As you may have gathered from the above, I have way too many interests.
